Collection: 蔣朔 Jiang Shuo
Jiang Shuo is a Chinese-born international sculptor known for her thought-provoking bronze works, created across studios in China, Germany, and Austria. Initially inspired by folk traditions and childhood memories, her later pieces—most notably the Red Guards series—critique commercialization and reflect on China’s Cultural Revolution. One of the first women to study sculpture at Beijing’s Central Academy of Arts & Design, Jiang later moved to Austria in 1989, gaining citizenship in 2003. Her return to China sparked a creative response to shifting cultural values, blending humor with social commentary. Jiang's work has been exhibited globally and is held in major collections.
