This intricate ART known as chain stitch originated centuries ago in KASHMIR. Chainstitch is done by Hook rather than by needle. The hook is referred to as "ART". This art covers a much larger area than needle work in the same amount of time. All the embroidery is executed in a white cotton fabric that is pre-shrunk. Tiny stitches are used to cover the entire area - figures on motifs are worked in striking colors. Stitches ought to be small even-sized and neat. Our chain stitch is handmade and made with natural fibers and dyes. It is advisable to DRY CLEAN ONLY.
