Description
Beauty in the City
Inspired by the graceful Spider Lily, a flower often found blooming quietly among Singapore's housing estates, Beauty in the City is a heartfelt Elephant Parade sculpture by Singaporean artist Ye Ruoshi. Created for the Trier-Luxembourg 2013 Parade, the design celebrates the beauty that often goes unnoticed in our fast-paced urban lives.
Just as the elegant Spider Lily is frequently overlooked, elephants and many other animals are often taken for granted. Through this artwork, Ye Ruoshi encourages us to pause, appreciate the beauty that surrounds us, and cherish the natural world before it is forgotten. Blending delicate artistry with a meaningful message, Beauty in the City is a beautiful reminder to slow down and value both nature and wildlife.
